A large commercial complex with 16 separate tenants – inc Mercedes and other quality brands. CJ Duncan was tasked to replace over 12,500sqm of metal roof sheeting due to hail damage, weekend work only. Protection was installed over all tenants contents within each tenancies each weekend. All protection was removed Sunday night to ensure each business could trade Monday morning. Roof mounted air conditioning units were disconnected and reconnected each weekend to allow the roof sheeting to be replaced. Project was completed on time and on budget.

JINDALEE SHOPPING CENTRE

JINDALEE, BRISBANE

Electrical fire caused significant damage to 4 tenancies within a large suburban shopping centre. CJ Duncan were engaged by the insurance company to complete required repairs. The repairs included the replacement of the roof sheeting and steel frame to all four tenancies.

CJ Duncan worked around the requirement of all tenants – all with different needs to address. This project was completed on time and with no variations. The building owner, tenants and insurer were pleased with the result.

Demolition due to explosion

MANILDRA FLOUR MILL

MANILDRA, ORANGE

This complicated demolition project entailed the demolition of damaged structural steel wheat silos. This demolition was due to a dust explosion that destroyed 12 bin storage silos. The demolition was completed using man boxes, EWPs and mobile cranes – works completed at extreme heights. All works were completed by hand using oxy cutting equipment.

The Manildra Flour Mills business is a 24 hour 7 day operational processing plant and business. All works were coordinated around the continuing operation of the mill and a train line that intersects the site.
