Mortlake apartment remedial works underway
News July 2022
The CJ Duncan remedial team was engaged by the apartment owners of the Mortlake Apartment complex to complete remedial works to their leaking terrace areas and planter boxes.
The scope (prepared by MJ Engineering) was to remove and replace the waterproofing to various terrace areas and large planter boxes. These areas were leaking into the basement car parking space via a poorly detailed cold joint in the concrete podium slab. At a high level, the work includes removing existing tiles and the contents of the planter boxes. We will then grind back the existing and old waterproofing membrane from the affected areas and install a new sheet membrane system. Once water is tested and signed off we will reinstate the tiled areas and the planter box contents.
The CJ Duncan team are working closely with the Owners Corporation to ensure the works are completed efficiently and safely. The safety of the building’s occupants, our staff and contractors is key at all times.
We would like to congratulate the CJ Duncan delivery team led by Glen Felipe (Senior Project Manager) and Jason Howell (Senior Site Manager). They are doing a great job of ensuring that the works are being completed to a high standard and that both the Owners and building occupants are happy with the process.
